Morgan Stanley Proposes Record-Low Fee for Spot Bitcoin ETF
Morgan Stanley has made a significant move in the cryptocurrency market with its proposed ultra-low fee for its Bitcoin Trust (MSBT). The amended S-1 filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission proposes an annual fee of 0.14% for MSBT, which would be lower than any other spot Bitcoin ETF in the US market.
The fee cut is seen as a major move in the industry, with Bloomberg analysts predicting a possible early April launch if the SEC grants approval. This could lead to increased competition among issuers and put pressure on others to reduce their fees.
Morgan Stanley's distribution reach is also expected to play a significant role in the success of MSBT. With over 16,000 financial advisors overseeing around $8 trillion in client assets, even a small allocation into Bitcoin could direct billions into the cryptocurrency market.
