The potential vulnerability of older address formats has been a topic of concern, with researchers warning that up to 5 million Bitcoin could be at risk if not upgraded in time. CZ acknowledges the importance of protecting Satoshi's coins, which are estimated to account for around 1 million BTC. He suggests that these addresses should be locked or destroyed if they remain dormant beyond a certain timeframe to prevent potential theft.
