Banca Sella Receives EU Authorization for Crypto-Asset Services

Banca Sella, an Italian bank, has achieved a major milestone in the European financial sector with its authorization to provide crypto-asset services under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. This development marks a significant step towards the adoption of digital assets and tokenized finance in Europe.

The bank's plans to launch custody and transfer services for selected customers by 2026 reflect its commitment to expanding its digital financial products and meeting European compliance standards. Banca Sella has been involved in blockchain-related initiatives, including a Distributed Ledger Technology pilot project promoted by the Bank of Italy.
