Vitalik Buterin Surpasses Ethereum Sale Target, Raises Questions About Future Sales
Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, has exceeded his previously stated ETH sale target. According to blockchain analytics data from Lookonchain, he has sold a total of 17,196 ETH, valued at approximately $34.96 million.
This exceeds his initial plan to withdraw 16,384 ETH, which was worth around $43 million at the time of announcement. However, due to Ethereum's price decline since then, the current valuation is slightly lower at about $35.4 million.
Buterin's cumulative sales have raised questions about how much more he might sell in the future. His stake in Ethereum has declined significantly over the years, from holding over 662,000 ETH in 2015 to around 224,104 ETH currently, valued at approximately $439 million.
