Upbit Web3 Infrastructure GIWA Expands Global Reach with Consensus 2026 Participation
GIWA, Upbit's Web3 infrastructure, is taking a significant step forward in its global expansion efforts. The project's participation in Consensus 2026 in Miami, USA, marks a major milestone in its mission to provide a seamless and accessible Web3 environment for users worldwide.
The GIWA ecosystem is built on a robust foundation that integrates various components, including the Giwa Chain, a Layer 2-based blockchain; the Giwa Wallet, which enables direct management of user assets; Dojang, an off-chain data verification system; Bojagi, a zero-knowledge proof-based privacy protocol; and UP.ID, a naming service that replaces wallet addresses. This comprehensive infrastructure is designed to ensure the reliability and security required in a Web 3 environment.
As part of its strategic efforts to expand its developer ecosystem, GIWA has launched the GASOK program, which provides technical consulting and development funding to dApp developers within the Giwa ecosystem. This initiative aims to encourage global developers to participate in the project and contribute to its growth.
In a significant collaboration, GIWA has signed an MOU with Optimism (OP), a leading Ethereum Layer 2 project. Through this partnership, both companies plan to secure sequencer operational stability, establish backup infrastructure, engage in engineering cooperation, and pursue joint marketing efforts. This collaboration is expected to enhance GIWA's technological credibility and lay the foundation for further ecosystem expansion.
