Crypto Week Ahead: Hearings, Rate Decision, and Stablecoin Rules

This week in crypto and macroeconomic events is packed with developments from Washington D.C. A House Financial Services subcommittee will hold a hearing on oversight of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) on July 21 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's (OCC) comment period for proposed GENIUS Act rules closes on July 24, which extend anti-money laundering and sanctions standards to stablecoin issuers.

Meanwhile, the European Central Bank will make its interest-rate decision on July 23 at 8:15 a.m. ET, with markets pricing a hold. The ECB's press conference is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. ET.
