XRP Ledger Activates Permissioned DEX and More

The XRP Ledger has made significant strides with the activation of a permissioned decentralized exchange (DEX). This new feature enables regulated institutions to trade on the XRPL without opening markets to unrestricted participation. The technical upgrade, known as XLS-81, allows for the creation of permissioned DEXs that function similarly to XRPL's existing built-in DEX but with controlled access restrictions.

Strategy's treasury company has made another significant Bitcoin acquisition, purchasing 2,500 BTC for $168 million. This purchase brings their total holdings to approximately 717,100 Bitcoin, making it one of the largest Bitcoin purchases of the year. Strategy's preferred share proceeds were used to fund this acquisition.

Animoca Brands has secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from Dubai's regulatory authority governing the digital asset industry. This licensing approval enables Animoca to operate cryptocurrency-related services within the Emirate's regulatory framework, marking an important milestone for the company.
