Gemini Enters Traditional Finance with Commission-Free Stock Trading

Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange co-founded by the Winklevoss twins, has launched commission-free U.S. stock trading in selected states, marking a significant expansion into traditional finance.

The move follows the same trend as other retail brokerages like Robinhood and Webull, which offer similar services to their customers.

Nasdaq will provide market data for Gemini's equities trading, enabling the exchange to offer consolidated quotes and regulatory-compliant feeds. This cooperation with Nasdaq demonstrates Gemini's willingness to take a slower path that is more regulator-approved.
