Deutsche Börse Quietly Boosts XRP's Institutional Credibility
Deutsche Börse, an international exchange organization, has upgraded XRP's status in Europe. The move comes as Clearstream, a settlement giant that handles trillions in traditional securities, expands its regulated crypto custody service.
Clearstream added six new cryptocurrencies to its platform, including XRP, Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), Stellar (XLM), and Avalanche (AVAX). This brings the total number of supported cryptos to eight, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) already on board.
This development is significant because it puts XRP alongside established names in the traditional custody infrastructure. Institutional custody through a regulated entity changes how banks, asset managers, and other institutions can treat XRP.
Ripple has also secured MiCA compliance in Europe, which allows it to offer its products and services under a single regulatory framework. This compliance runs parallel to Clearstream's custody expansion, building a stronger case for XRP's institutional standing in the region.
