XRP Analyst Warns of Potential Upside Liquidation Event
XRP's price action remains fragile in the short term, but an analysis by Cryptoinsightuk's Will Taylor suggests that the cryptocurrency may be setting up for a significant upside liquidation event.
Taylor points to the imbalance in leverage positioning and funding data as indicators of a potential higher move later in the cycle. He notes that there is 'significant upside liquidity' above current levels, with around $600 million in liquidity near $3.38 and another roughly $300 million near $3.60.
The analyst also highlights the fact that XRP has already gone through eight consecutive weeks of negative aggregated funding, a stretch only comparable to the 2022 bear-market low. This could indicate that sentiment is becoming increasingly bearish and may be setting up for a reversal.
