Bittensor Token Sees 73% Surge Amid NVIDIA Endorsement
Bittensor's token price has seen significant growth in recent times, with a 73% increase in the past month. This rise can be attributed to several factors, including recognition from prominent figures in the tech industry and notable technical milestones achieved by the project.
One of the key catalysts behind Bittensor's success is its connection to decentralized AI training. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang recently acknowledged this concept as a practical approach, which has amplified investor interest in the Bittensor blockchain. This validation comes at a time when large-scale model training was thought to require substantial capital and tightly controlled infrastructure.
The project's Templar subnet has made significant progress in training large language models (LLMs) through decentralized collaboration. The subnet trained Covenant-72B, a 72-billion-parameter LLM, using commercially available hardware and involving over 70 contributors. This achievement lends credibility to Bittensor's thesis that subnets can marshal meaningful compute to build economically valuable services.
However, analysts have pointed out potential challenges facing the project. The tokenomics of Bittensor resemble those of Bitcoin, which could be beneficial for long-term appreciation if the network continues to produce in-demand services. Nevertheless, the current economics of the protocol raise concerns about its scalability and revenue generation through subnets.
