Hyperliquid Advocates for On-Chain Derivatives Regulation in US Policymaking

Hyperliquid, a company specializing in decentralized finance (DeFi) trading, has been actively engaging with US policymakers to discuss the regulation of on-chain derivatives markets.

The meetings have centered around the CLARITY Act, which aims to integrate on-chain derivatives trading into the country's evolving regulatory framework. Hyperliquid's team believes that a policy window currently exists for this integration and is working to educate legislators about the technical aspects of on-chain trading.

To facilitate these discussions, Hyperliquid established the Hyperliquid Policy Center in Washington on February 18. Led by Jake Chervinsky, former chief policy officer at the Blockchain Association, the center's mandate goes beyond mere lobbying efforts, positioning itself as a bridge between DeFi trading and traditional regulatory apparatuses.
