Dormant Bitcoin Whale Reemerges After Decades of Inactivity
A recent on-chain analysis has revealed that a long-dormant Bitcoin whale wallet has reactivated after 13.7 years of inactivity. The wallet, identified as 1NB3ZX, originally received 2,100 BTC in July 2012 and now holds approximately $148 million worth of the cryptocurrency.
The wallet's reactivation has sparked interest in market structure and whale behavior, particularly as Bitcoin trades near critical resistance at $71,000. According to on-chain data from Lookonchain, the wallet transferred a minimal amount of 0.00079 BTC, suggesting testing activity rather than full liquidation.
Market analysts are now monitoring key technical levels, including the 200-week exponential moving average (EMA), which Bitcoin recently broke above but has yet to confirm as support. A failure to maintain this level could signal weakness in the macro trend and potentially invalidate the recent bullish structure.
