Grayscale Warns of Prolonged Bear Market for Bitcoin
Grayscale has weighed in on the current Bitcoin market cycle, suggesting it may remain in a bear market until September or October. The firm points out that previous bear markets typically bottomed about one year after the peak of the cycle, with average drawdowns of around 80%. However, Grayscale notes that recent economic conditions have shifted the dynamics of the market.
The firm believes Bitcoin's price is now more influenced by macroeconomic conditions than historical cycles. This could mean that the cryptocurrency may have already reached its bottom if the US economy remains resilient and the Federal Reserve avoids additional interest rate hikes.
