Aave Faces Crisis as Key Partner Leaves Amid Architecture Disputes

Aave, a prominent player in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, is facing a significant setback with the departure of its key partner, Chaos Labs. The decision was made due to differences over the new version of Aave's architecture, known as V4, which is expected to bring more complexity and liability.

The Chaos Labs team has been instrumental in shaping Aave's risk management strategy since 2022. They were responsible for setting parameters and conditions related to loans, which ensured that the platform operated stably and did not accumulate significant bad debts.

However, with the introduction of V4, the team felt that their efforts would no longer be reflected in the new architecture. They cited concerns over inadequate resources and budget allocation, stating that even a 5 million dollar increase in funding would not have made the collaboration sustainable.
