Solana Surpasses Ethereum as Top Blockchain for Tokenized Assets

Solana has surpassed Ethereum and BNB Chain to become the leading blockchain by the number of wallets holding tokenized real-world assets (RWA). As of June 18, Solana recorded 285,971 RWA-exposed wallets, representing approximately 31% of the 924,469 holders distributed across 35 networks globally. This growth rate is significant, with the RWA user base on Solana increasing by 29.3% over the past 30 days.

The network surpassed the threshold of 200,000 wallets only in late April, adding nearly 85,000 new holders in under two months. According to the RWA Foundation, a sector association dedicated to promoting the adoption of tokenized assets, this record highlights Solana's rapid expansion.

Three factors explain Solana's growth: the arrival of institutional issuers, pre-existing infrastructure, and stablecoins. Securitize launched its STAC fund on Solana, while Western Union deployed its USDPT stablecoin as a settlement layer for over 150 million customers across 200 countries.
