Solana Price Hesitates at Key Technical Threshold
Solana's price has reached a critical juncture as it approaches the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) resistance at $86.10. The cryptocurrency has posted a 1.32% advance over the last 24-hour period, but faces significant technical obstacles in its path to further growth.
Market analysts note that Solana's repeated failure to break above the 50 EMA has led to downward pressure on price momentum. This has resulted in a prolonged consolidation pattern, with Solana remaining below the $100 threshold for 90 consecutive sessions – the longest period since 2020.
Despite this stagnation, blockchain fundamentals remain strong, with on-chain payment volume exceeding $10 billion in Q1 2026. This robust activity is a significant factor preventing a bearish outlook and could be a catalyst for future growth should buying interest reemerge.
