Revolut Launches US Bank with FDIC Insured Accounts and Crypto Trading
Revolut, a leading fintech company, is expanding its presence in the US by launching a new bank that will offer FDIC insured accounts, stablecoins, and crypto trading services.
The bank, which is expected to start operating in 2024, will focus on serving clients with international financial needs. Revolut's app currently supports services in more than 30 currencies, making it an attractive option for retail and business customers who require access to multiple foreign exchange products.
Revolut has applied for a national bank charter and plans to establish its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, with an additional office in New York. The company will not operate physical branches but will provide clients with access to ATM networks.
