Crypto Investors Flee to Gold Amid Volatility and Losses

A significant shift in investor sentiment is underway as a growing number of US investors ditched their crypto holdings in favor of gold, according to a recent MarketWise survey.

The study found that 18% of respondents sold or reduced their crypto investments over the past year to buy gold instead. This trend suggests that investors are increasingly wary of digital assets' volatility and are seeking safer havens like gold.

Among those who made the switch, 27% cited volatility as the primary reason, while 18% pointed to inflation fears. Meanwhile, 56% of crypto investors reported losses exceeding 20%, compared to only 11% of gold holders.
