$GRAM Price Divergence: Can Telegram's Users Revive Gram's Flagging Price?

The rebranding of Toncoin (TON) to Gram ($GRAM) has failed to push the token's price above $2.00, despite an initial surge after the June 1 announcement.

The token initially climbed to $2.26, but the rally was short-lived as traders took profits quickly. The price fell back to around $1.50 within days and further declined in mid-June after India temporarily restricted Telegram under its Information Technology Act.

Despite the regulatory action not directly affecting the blockchain itself, Gram's association with Telegram amplified investor concerns.

The current price of $1.67 is still nearly 80% below its all-time high of $8.24 in 2024 and down 17% over the past month. However, buyers are defending the token's current levels, keeping it above a rising short-term trendline.
