Token unlocks set to inject over $229m into crypto markets

Crypto markets are bracing for a significant influx of new tokens as several major projects prepare to unlock their reserves between May 4 and May 11.

According to data from Tokenomist shared by WuBlockchain, the collective value of these unlocks exceeds $229 million, with HYPE and ENA leading the charge among cliff releases.

HYPE's Hyperliquid will release 422,000 tokens valued at approximately $17.51 million, while Ethena's ENA will unlock 171.88 million tokens worth around $17.28 million.

Among linear unlocks, Rain tops the list with a massive 10.47 billion RAIN tokens worth $78.39 million, followed closely by Solana's 464,650 SOL tokens valued at $38.90 million.

The influx of new supply is likely to have short-term implications for market prices, and traders will be keeping a close eye on the developments as they unfold.
