Meta Expands USDC Payouts to Select Creators in Colombia and Philippines
Meta has announced that it will be providing USDC payouts to select creators in Colombia and the Philippines. The company is using existing blockchain infrastructure provided by Solana and Polygon to facilitate these transactions.
The backend for these payments is being handled by Stripe, a well-established payment processing service. This integration allows creators to receive dollar-based payouts without having to wait on slow cross-border banking.
One of the key benefits of this system is that it provides low-cost settlement options through Solana's infrastructure. Additionally, Polygon adds another payment rail to the mix, increasing flexibility for users.
