UAE Crude Oil Production Surges Past Record High Amid OPEC Exit
The UAE has reached a record high in crude oil production, producing over 3.8 million barrels per day (bpd) in June 2026.
This milestone comes after the country's exit from OPEC and OPEC+ on May 1, 2026, which had previously limited its output to between 3 and 3.4 million bpd.
The UAE's state oil company ADNOC has been building up capacity for nearly a decade, and its total production capacity now stands at an estimated 4.8 to 4.85 million bpd, representing around 40% growth in six years.
Crypto investors should take note of this development because lower energy costs can lead to wider margins for miners, which historically correlates with higher network hash rates as more participants find it profitable to compete for block rewards.
