Figure, a blockchain capital markets company, has updated its tokenized stock ticker from FGRD to FGRS. According to an official statement, this change is in line with the company's registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and listing information on Provenance Blockchain.
The update does not affect security, ownership, or trading mechanisms for investors. Instead, it marks a significant step forward for Figure's on-chain platform, which will allow stock tokens to be issued, traded, and settled without relying on traditional clearing and custody systems.
