Binance Unveils USD.AI as 63rd HODLer Airdrops Project

Binance has announced the launch of USD.AI (CHIP) as its 63rd project under the HODLer Airdrops program. The initiative offers retroactive rewards to eligible BNB holders who subscribed to Binance Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields products between April 13 and April 15, 2026. A total of 25 million CHIP tokens will be distributed to these users, with rewards expected to hit their Spot accounts within hours after the announcement.

USD.AI is a permissionless lending protocol focused on financing AI infrastructure, particularly GPU operators who can tokenize their hardware assets and use them as collateral for instant funding access. The project has already secured over $106 million in active loans, more than $214 million in signed loan pipeline deals, and more than $1.2 billion in approved financing facilities. USD.AI is also backed by major partners, including Sharon AI and Qumulus AI, which are planning significant computer growth.

The protocol operates through two core assets: USDai, a stablecoin backed 1:1 by PYUSD, and sUSDai, a yield-bearing version offering around 6.84% APY. The yield model combines treasury-style returns on idle capital with interest payments from GPU operators and AI infrastructure borrowers. Unlike traditional DeFi yield systems that rely heavily on token emission, USD.AI claims its returns are based on real borrowing demand stemming from the growth in AI compute.
