Tether Freezes Over Half a Billion in USDT Across Tron and Ethereum

Tether's recent actions have sparked interest in the cryptocurrency community as the stablecoin issuer freezes a significant amount of USDT. According to BlockSec's USDT Freeze Tracker, roughly $515 million worth of USDT has been affected over the past 30 days.

The blacklist action impacted 371 wallet addresses, with 329 located on Tron and 42 on Ethereum. Notably, the majority of the frozen funds were situated on Tron, totaling approximately $506 million. In contrast, Ethereum accounted for around $8.73 million.
