MoonPay Introduces Open Wallet Standard for AI Agent Payments

MoonPay has announced the release of an open-source wallet infrastructure framework, designed to facilitate AI agent interactions with cryptocurrency systems.

The Open Wallet Standard is available on GitHub, npm, and PyPI, and addresses a gap in existing efforts by providing a shared layer for key management across fragmented systems. This allows AI agents to operate from a single pool of funds across protocols and chains.

The framework supports Ethereum-compatible networks, Solana, Bitcoin, and other ecosystems. Key management is a central design focus, with private keys stored in an encrypted local vault and only briefly decrypted for transaction signing before being cleared from memory.
