Tim Draper's Bitcoin Sell-Off Triggers Market Interest
A recent transaction has raised eyebrows among market participants, as it appears that billionaire investor Tim Draper has sold a substantial amount of Bitcoin. According to on-chain analytics data from Onchain Lens, a wallet associated with Draper transferred 150.84 BTC to a centralized exchange, likely Coinbase.
The total value of the transfer is estimated at approximately $11.62 million, although it resulted in a loss of around $2.57 million for Draper. This development has sparked interest among market participants, given that it occurs shortly after Draper's prediction that Bitcoin would reach a price of $250,000.
Draper is known for his long-term bullish outlook on the cryptocurrency and has made significant investments in various projects, including Tesla, Skype, Coinbase, Ledger, and Tezos. While there is no official confirmation as to whether this transfer was directly related to selling purposes, moving assets to an exchange is generally considered a pre-sale step.
