Global Economy Enters 'Hunger Games of Debt Issuance', Bitcoin Predicted to Rally
Noted cryptocurrency expert Arthur Hayes has issued a warning about the global economy entering a 'Hunger Games of debt issuance.' This refers to a situation where every nation must print money to compete for a limited pool of investable capital, leading to an increase in global debt.
Hayes believes this trend will lead to a policy panic similar to the March 2023 banking crisis. He predicts that once the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield breaks above 5%, Bitcoin's price will drop from $75,000 to $70,000 before rising again after relevant policies are introduced.
Hayes also emphasized the importance of AI in driving job displacement and accelerating inflation. He forecasts that governments will be forced to implement Universal Basic Income-style programs to mitigate the effects of AI on employment, leading to further money printing.
