British Sprinter CJ Ujah Charged in Cryptocurrency Scam Investigation

British sprinter CJ Ujah has been charged alongside nine others in connection with a cryptocurrency scam that allegedly lost one victim £300,000.

The suspects are accused of being part of an organised crime group linked to a phone call scam, where victims were tricked into sharing important security details, including seed phrases, only to discover that funds in their crypto wallets had been stolen.

The police investigation led to the execution of search warrants and multiple arrests across Chelmsford, Enfield, and south London, with assistance from other law enforcement agencies. Ujah was one of seven suspects bailed to attend a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on May 28.
