Senator Warren Seeks SEC Investigation into Trump Family Crypto Company

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has written a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins, requesting an investigation into World Liberty Financial, Inc. (WLF), a cryptocurrency company associated with the Trump family.

The senator's concerns center around WLF's use of decentralized lending protocol Dolomite in April 2026, which caused the price of its issued WLFI tokens to plummet by 10% and led to severe liquidity restrictions on the platform.

Warren emphasized that securities anti-fraud protection clauses apply to all securities transactions, regardless of their technological form or the political background of the actors involved.
