Ethereum Momentum Gains as Institutional Buyer Continues to Purchase Large Quantities
Ethereum (ETH) has experienced a significant uptick in price following a series of bullish indicators. BitMine Immersion Technologies, an Ethereum treasury firm, has continued its aggressive buying spree, purchasing 65,341 ETH last week and bringing its total holdings to 4.66 million ETH.
According to Chairman Thomas Lee, this increased buying activity is a sign that the cryptocurrency is nearing the end of a mini-crypto winter. Lee attributed this trend to several factors, including the pending CLARITY Act in the US, which aims to clarify crypto regulation and provide a clearer framework for industry growth.
Market data also supports this optimistic outlook. Ethereum's net taker volume on Binance has reached an all-time high of $390 million, indicating aggressive buying activity. Additionally, ETH is trading near $2,162, up nearly 5% in the past 24 hours and holding above key moving averages.
Technical indicators also point to short-term strength for Ethereum. Analysts have noted that the cryptocurrency has reached its highest volume node in five years, historically acting as a strong price support level. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is sitting near 56, showing moderate bullish momentum without being overbought.
