Hyperliquid Surpasses Nasdaq in Trading Volume, Draws Attention of Regulators

Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange (DEX), has gained significant attention in recent times. According to Intercontinental Exchange's CEO, Jeffrey Sprecher, it has surpassed Nasdaq in popularity and trading volume.

Sprecher attributed Hyperliquid's success to its ability to facilitate oil trading during weekends when traditional exchanges are closed. This feature allows traders to access the market even on major geopolitical developments, which has contributed to its rapid growth.

ICE has taken notice of Hyperliquid's rise and is now working with regulators to establish fair competition rules. Sprecher clarified that ICE is not hostile towards Hyperliquid but rather sees it as an opportunity to learn from their innovative approach to DeFi trading.
