Chainlink CCIP Gains Momentum as Protocols Flee LayerZero
Chainlink CCIP has gained significant traction among protocols and exchanges in recent weeks, with several high-profile projects abandoning LayerZero after a major bridge exploit.
The incident, which saw $292 million drained from Kelp DAO's LayerZero-powered bridge, has raised concerns about the security of LayerZero. In response, several key players have made the switch to Chainlink CCIP, citing its enterprise-grade security features and ISO 27001 compliance.
Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it will be replacing LayerZero with Chainlink CCIP as its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for kBTC and all future wrapped assets. The exchange cited the need for more robust security measures in the wake of the exploit.
