CoinDCX Founders Grilled Over $75K Crypto Fraud Case in India

CoinDCX, one of India's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, is facing a major controversy as its founders, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, were questioned by Thane Police over a $75K crypto fraud case.

The police accused the duo of criminal breach of trust after a 42-year-old insurance consultant lost nearly $75,000 to a fake CoinDCX website. The scammer created a website that looked identical to the real CoinDCX platform and tricked the victim into investing.

CoinDCX has responded by calling the FIR 'false' and blaming impersonators who posed as the founders and funneled money to unrelated third-party accounts.
