Crypto-backed candidates won primaries in three US states, marking a significant intersection of digital-asset interests and mainstream electoral politics. According to reports, Fairshake and its affiliates spent around $8 million on media across the relevant races.
Notable victories include Democrat Ritchie Torres' win in New York's 15th congressional district primary with 71.9% of the vote. In Utah, Republican Blake Moore won the 2nd district primary with 57.5%. Maryland offered a more closely contested outcome, with Protect Progress, a Fairshake affiliate, spending $5.5 million to support Adrian Boafo's win in the Democratic primary for the state's 5th district.
Fairshake spokesperson Geoff Vetter attributed their success to 'going big and going early', adding that the campaign aimed to move Boafo from fifth place to Congress.
