The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act is facing a crucial test in July as the House schedules back-to-back hearings on Federal Reserve policy and digital-asset innovation.
Scheduled for July 14 and July 17, these hearings will give supporters of the CLARITY Act a high-profile platform to make their case for comprehensive crypto legislation.
Senator Cynthia Lummis is leading the push for a Senate floor vote before the August recess, warning that without clear federal rules, the United States risks ceding its lead in digital assets.
Lummis has stated that 'The U.S. did not invent the internet and then hand it to someone else to govern. We are not doing that with digital assets either,' highlighting her central argument that clear federal regulations are necessary to maintain competitiveness in the industry.
