Franklin Templeton Launches Cryptocurrency Division with 250 Digital Acquisition

Franklin Templeton, a leading Wall Street asset management firm, has announced the launch of a dedicated cryptocurrency division called Franklin Crypto. This move marks a significant expansion of the company's digital assets business, which currently manages around $1.8 billion.

The new unit will be led by former CoinFund executive Christopher Perkins, who will serve as its head. The team will report to Sandy Kaul, the firm's head of innovation. Franklin Crypto will focus on offering active crypto investment strategies to institutional investors, meeting growing demand for structured exposure to digital assets.
