Bitcoin Price Dips to $63,900 Amid Rising Oil Prices and AI-Related Selloff
The Bitcoin price dipped to around $63,900 on Monday, marking a 1.3% daily decline. This drop occurred amidst rising oil prices driven by U.S.-Iran military strikes and a lingering AI-related stock selloff that weighed on Asian chip stocks and broader risk appetite.
Despite the headline drop, Bitcoin's weekly picture still holds some ground. The cryptocurrency remains up roughly 2% over the prior seven days.
The rest of the major tokens moved in the same direction, with Ether easing 1.1% to $1,850, BNB shedding 0.8% to $564, XRP touching $1.09, and Dogecoin posting the sharpest single-day decline among the group at 1.4%.
Hyperliquid's HYPE stands out as the week's biggest loser, down 8% on a weekly basis and trading at $60 on Monday. This project's recent momentum has been overridden by broader market sentiment.
