Shiba Inu Whale Transfer Sparks Fears of Price Correction
A significant transfer of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens has taken place, sparking concerns about a potential price correction. According to Arkham Intelligence, a whale moved approximately 600 billion SHIB tokens worth around $2.8 million to an address called ForwarderV4.
This is not the first time this whale has used this address, with about 3.8 trillion SHIB having flowed through it in the last month alone. The wallet belongs to one of the earliest and most successful SHIB investors, who acquired around 103 trillion SHIB in August 2020 for only 37.8 ETH (approximately $13,700 at the time).
At the peak of the 2021 meme coin boom, this position was valued at approximately $9.1 billion, making it one of the most successful crypto investments ever recorded.
The transfer has raised concerns that a large supply may soon reach exchanges, potentially influencing market sentiment and contributing to a price correction.
