Coinbase Unveils Ambitious Plans to Become One-Stop Shop for Finances

Coinbase continues to expand its services, adding new features and products that aim to make it a one-stop-shop for managing finances. The company is building on its previous work, introducing more assets, ways to trade them, and a robust financial suite.

One of the key updates is the introduction of tokenized stocks, which will allow users to buy and sell shares in companies like SpaceX. These tokens are backed 1:1 by the underlying asset and offer dividend payouts and shareholder rights. Coinbase is also introducing options trading for crypto and stocks directly on its platform.

The company is also upgrading its Coinbase Advanced platform, which will now include features like zero commission fees, TradingView charting, and up to 3.5% rewards on trade-ready USDC balances. Additionally, users can transfer their existing stock portfolios from other platforms directly to Coinbase and trade nearly every major stock, index, and ETF in the U.S.

Coinbase is also introducing real-world asset (RWA) perpetual futures, which will grant targeted exposure to thematic equity indices like AI, China, Defense, and the Tech 100. The company is also launching its prediction markets access, with new contracts and faster trading experiences.
