US Lawmakers Told to Stop Ignoring 67M Crypto Holders
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty has called on U.S. lawmakers to recognize cryptocurrency holders as a significant voting bloc, rather than treating them as a niche community.
Alderoty argued that digital asset ownership has reached a scale lawmakers can no longer overlook, citing data from the National Cryptocurrency Association that shows 67 million Americans now hold crypto, which is approximately one in four adult Americans.
This figure exceeds the number of dog owners in the country and represents one of America's largest constituencies, according to Alderoty.
