US Senate Approves Bipartisan Bill to Regulate Cryptocurrencies
The US Senate's Banking Committee has given its approval to the Clarity Act, a bipartisan bill aimed at providing clearer guidelines for the regulation of digital commodities, including cryptocurrencies.
The law assigns oversight of these assets to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), bringing much-needed clarity to the industry.
With this development, 67 million Americans will be protected under the Clarity Act's provisions.
