SpaceX Discloses Substantial Bitcoin Holdings in IPO Filing
SpaceX's initial public offering (IPO) filing has disclosed a substantial amount of Bitcoin on its balance sheet. According to the SEC document, the aerospace company holds 18,712 Bitcoin, far exceeding earlier estimates. This revelation has sparked interest among investors and market observers.
The value of SpaceX's Bitcoin holdings is approximately $1.4 billion, based on current market prices. This significant asset position may influence the company's public listing process, which is expected to take place in June. Reports suggest that SpaceX may raise up to $75 billion and be valued between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion.
SpaceX's Bitcoin balance is more than double the estimated 8,285 BTC reported by earlier blockchain-tracking estimates. The company's holdings surpass those of Tesla, which has a reported balance of 11,509 BTC. This disclosure provides investors with a clearer view of SpaceX's digital asset exposure and its long-term business strategy.
