X Platform Hires Crypto-Savvy Design Lead Amid Payments Expansion

Elon Musk's social media platform X has made a significant addition to its team with the hiring of Benji Taylor as its new design lead.

Taylor brings extensive experience in crypto product development to his new role. He is the founder of Los Feliz Engineering, which developed the self-custody wallet Family, and previously served as Chief Product Officer at Aave Labs, a decentralized lending platform.

The hire is seen as a strategic move by X, which is rapidly expanding into payments and financial services. The platform has announced plans to launch X Money in April, offering peer-to-peer transactions, bank deposits, and cashback rewards in over 40 U.S. states.
