Mysterious Bitcoin Holder Destroys $8.3 Million in Cryptocurrency

A significant amount of Bitcoin was removed from circulation last week when 107 coins were sent to a burn address, valued at approximately $8.3 million.

The transfer occurred on May 25 and utilized five separate wallets that had been inactive for over a decade.

Blockchain data revealed the sender's wallets had not been active since around 2015, when Bitcoin traded near $314, and the coins were valued at roughly $33,700. In contrast, their current value is significantly higher, with some estimates suggesting they could be worth over $8 million.
