CBI Arrests Co-Founder of Darwin Labs Over GainBitcoin Scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in India has made a significant breakthrough in its investigation into the GainBitcoin Ponzi scheme, arresting Ayush Varshney, co-founder of Darwin Labs Private Limited. According to reports, Varshney was detained by Indian immigration authorities on March 9 while attempting to leave the country.

The CBI's investigation is part of a larger effort to tackle cryptocurrency-related fraud cases in India. The agency has been working closely with other enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible for such schemes.

Varshney's involvement in GainBitcoin dates back to its launch in 2015, when the scheme promised investors high returns on Bitcoin investments. However, it soon became clear that the operators were misappropriating funds, leading to widespread losses among investors.
