Cardano Governance Crisis Overshadows Technical Achievements
Cardano, a blockchain network that has achieved significant technical milestones in recent years, is facing an internal governance crisis. The project's research ecosystem is on the verge of being dismantled due to a lack of funding, with founder Charles Hoskinson warning that scientists may leave without support.
The issue stems from a contentious governance vote in which several Japanese Delegate Representatives rejected a critical research funding proposal. This has sparked concerns about Cardano's ability to continue innovating and improving its technology.
Despite these challenges, Cardano is pushing forward with future-proofing initiatives, including the recent rollout of a new security initiative focused on quantum resistance. The network is also preparing for the introduction of Ouroboros Leios, a new scalability solution.
