Celebrity Crypto Investors Reveal Surprising Levels of Investment

A recent study by Coin Insider has revealed that some of the most recognizable names in Hollywood and tech are heavily invested in cryptocurrency. According to the study, Twitter and Block cofounder Jack Dorsey leads the list with $2 billion invested in Bitcoin, which accounts for half of his $4 billion net worth. This is no surprise given Dorsey's long-time advocacy for BTC as everyday money.

He even built Bitcoin tools directly into Block's Cash App and Bitkey wallet business. Rounding out the top five celebrity investors are entrepreneurs Winklevoss twins Tyler and Cameron, rapper Snoop Dogg, SpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk, and venture capitalist Tim Draper.

The study found that 68 percent of millionaires own cryptocurrency, while only 30 percent of all Americans have it. Despite its growing popularity, adoption rates are still lagging behind its cultural presence. Some 60 percent of Americans say they've heard about crypto but don't know much about it, and 55 percent consider it 'very risky.'
