Cryptocurrency Market Experiences Sharp Decline on Saturday
The cryptocurrency market witnessed a significant downturn on Saturday, with Bitcoin experiencing its lowest price in recent weeks. According to data, the leading cryptocurrency dropped to $77.89, a decline of 1.4% in the last 24 hours.
This movement interrupted the recovery that had begun earlier in the week, when Bitcoin managed to approach the $82 region after advances involving the CLARITY Act in the US. However, the optimism was short-lived as new US inflation data increased investor caution and raised expectations about the Federal Reserve's next steps regarding US interest rates.
As a result of the decline, Ethereum fell more than 3.5% and returned to the $2.17 range, while BNB and XRP also registered significant losses. Among the day's negative highlights, Solana lost over 5%, amplifying the profit-taking movement after recent gains.
The total value of the cryptocurrency market has lost approximately $100 billion since Thursday, falling below $2.7 trillion.
